Edition Hotel – Downtown Dubai

Edition Hotel,  one of the most iconic hotel brands founded by Ian Schrager Hotels, opened its second UAE hotel in Downtown Dubai with spectacular views of the Burj Khalifa. Part of Marriott’s International luxury brands boasting 275 guestrooms, 45 suites, 3 restaurants, a speak easy bar and function rooms.

All designs were inspired by Ian Schrager, Studio 54 fame, who wanted to  “create hotels that don’t act like hotels”. The Edition ethos is to offer luxury spaces inspired by microcosms of the world’s top cities New York, Miami, London, Barcelona, Shanghai,  Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Working closely with the designers and client, Truelux was the key provider of all custom-made lighting for the guestrooms, luxury suites, corridors, and many parts of the public areas.

It was Truelux’s role to provide continuous support throughout the design and development process, manage the production and delivery in line with the client’s program of works and oversee a smooth installation. Truelux ensured that the client team and hotel operators needs were supported right up to the day the doors opened to the public and beyond.
