It’s a time of reflection here at Truelux and one event that we really didn’t talk about enough was the Joining Jacks Charity Golf Day we sponsored at the end of 2019. The event is held on the eve of the Dubai 7’s Rugby tournament each year and it was the first time we had gotten involved as a key sponsor.
The day is set up to allow paying participants and sponsors the opportunity to team up with Rugby Legends to raise money for Joining Jacks, a charity that works to battle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is one of the most common fatal genetic disorders to affect children around the world.
Truelux got involved and sponsored the golf ball meaning all participants were issued with Truelux branded balls to use during the day, although assessing the standard and the amount of refreshments being consumed, we are not sure how many made it back rather than to the bottom of the lakes or the middle of the desert.
As a company we love to get involved in events like this as it’s a way to invite our clients to something fun away from the office and also help out with a great cause. One of the perks of being a sponsor was the ability to partner with a real legend of the game in Martin ‘Chariots’ Offiah and he was a great addition to our team and a lot of fun on the day.
